Instructions

1. The demonstrations are animated screen shots of the software in action (known as Viewlets).  In order to view these your internet web browser must be Java enabled.  If it is not then you may need to install one or both of the following:

The installation files for these can be found on the Download page.

2. As the demonstrations are actual views of the software screens, you will require a large area of space on the screen in order to view them.  If your screen area is low (i.e. 640 x 480) then you will need to select the 'new window' option to view the demonstration.  Even then some parts may be obscured.  The demonstrations are best viewed at a screen area of 800 x 600 or higher (to change the screen area of your computer view the instructions below).

Click here to find out your screen resolution.

3. When you click on a link to a demonstration it will take a few seconds before the demonstrations starts (there will also be a few adverts).  If you are prompted to connect to the internet, choose to work off-line as you do not need to connect to the internet to view the demonstrations (the only time you need to connect to the internet is if you click on a link to a web site from within the demonstration module).

4. The Demonstration Viewlets are a series of frames that run on a timer.  You can pause, resume, restart, or move frame by frame through the demonstration using the control buttons to the right of the Viwelet as shown below:

Changing your screen area

To change the area of your screen follow the steps below:

1. Open Control Panel from the Settings item on the Start menu

2. Select the Dispaly icon on the Control Panel

3. This will show the Display Properties (a short cut to the Display Properties is to right click on your desktop and select Properties from the pop-up menu)

4. Select the Settings Tab

5. Look at the Screen area settings

6. If the Screen area can be increased the slider will have space to the right (towards 'More').  Click and drag the slider towards 'More' to increase the screen area.

7. When a suitable area has been select either click on the Apply button or click on OK (the screen may flicker on and off when the area changes).
