CRPA (Research Centre on Animal Production) is a joint stock-holding company with the public sector and the most important Italian Farmers' Union as its major shareholder. Its mission is to conduct research, and establish and manage services with the aim of promoting technical, economic and social progress in the Italian livestock farming sector seeking to promote the spread of the most advanced forms of environmentally friendly agriculture. With respect to this project CRPA were responsible for the Italian national consultation exercise and various on-farm case studies.
