Very little published information on Gigaspora gregaria can be identified although there are studies on other Gigaapora spp. Available. This particular spp. has been shown to increase mineral levels and decrease the level of proline in groundnuts. |

Globally wide spread in soils |
|
The fungus is first isolated from soil samples and cultured under controlled conditions. The cultured fungus subsequently undergoes fermentation. Once a sufficient amount of fungal biomass is produced, it is harvested, separating the fungal mycelium from the growth medium. It is then formulated into the end product. |
