CERTIFICATES

University of Hertfordshire degree/diploma certificates are produced on watermarked goatskin acid free paper with a high cotton content and wood fibres from sustainable forests. They are designed to meet ISO standards for archival papers and under normal use will last for 500 years or more.

The certificate bears the full colour crest of the University, is signed by the Vice-Chancellor and is embossed with the University badge. Because of the numbers of certificates we produce, the system is mechanised and the details of the award are laser printed.

If you did not receive your certificate at an awards ceremony you can request your certificate by completing this form Certificate Request Form.

Unclaimed certificates will be kept for a five year period, after which time, a fee will be made to reproduce your certificate.

Duplicate Certificates
Information on the issue of duplicate certificates and letters confirming UH academic awards can be found here.

Calligraphy Certificates
Occasionally we are asked for a more ornate certificate and to accommodate this the University has commissioned a calligrapher to hand produce certificates for those who request them. Sample Calligraphy Certificate

Details of this service will be available at the Arena on the day of your ceremony and will involve you handing back your laser printed certificate for this to be copied by the calligrapher. Alternatively you can apply by completing and sending this form to us Request for Calligraphy Certificate.
