Climate change in the news

The Stern Report, a recent report commissioned by the Chancellor of the Exchequer has stated that "The cost (of climate change) could be equivalent to up to around 20% (reduction in global current per-capita consumption under a Business as Usual scenario), now and forever."

"Tackling climate change is the pro-growth strategy for the longer term, and it can be done in a way that does not cap the aspirations for growth of rich or poor countries. The earlier effective action is taken, the less costly it will be."
