GENERAL INFORMATION
Description
A parasitoid wasp that can be used for the biological control of mealybugs
Example pests controlled
Mealybugs
Example applications
-
Efficacy & activity
-
Appearance and life cycle
Small wasp variable in colour (males are black, females lighter with yellow tinge) and around 3mm in length. The females parasitise mealybug larvae. The parasitised pupae swells and hardens presenting a brown-yellow striped mummy. The adult emerges through an irregular hole opening in the back of the mummy.
