SUMMARY

Barium carbonate is an obsolete inorganic rodenticide. Very little information is available regarding its environmental fate and behaviour. It has a low toxicity to fish. Data for other speciers is scant. It is moderately toxic to mammals via the oral route and may be neurotoxin.
