SUMMARY

Chloralose is an avicide, bird repellent and rodenticide that is not approved for use in the EU. It is highly soluble in water and volatile. There are considerable gaps in reported data for environmental fate. Chloralose is moderately toxic to mammals with a high potential for bioaccumulation. It is also a recognized irritant. It is highly toxic to birds and moderately toxic to fish.
