SUMMARY
Chlorbufam is a carbamate herbicide that does not have EU approval for use and largely considered to be obsolete. It is highly soluble in water and in many organic solvents. It has a low volatality and, based on its chemical properties, it has a high potential for leaching to groundwater. It is moderately persistnt in soil systems. It has a low mammalian oral toxicity and its a recognised irritant. There are significant data gaps regarding ecotoxicity.

A residual and contact carbamate herbicide, now obsolete, but previously used for pre-emergence control of grasses and broad-leaved weeds
