Cloethocarb is an obsolete insecticide. It has a high aqueous solubility and is non-volatile. It is not usually persistent in soil systems. Little data is available regarding its ecotoxicology. It is highly toxic to mammals if ingested and is an acetyl cholinesterase inhibitor.
