Chlornitrofen is an obsolete rice herbicide, It has a low aqueous solubility and is non-volatile. It is moderately toxic to fish, algae and aquatic invertebrates. Chlornitrofen has a low oral mammalian toxicity and may be a reproduction/developmental toxin.
