SUMMARY

Silver sodium thiosulphate is a silver complex used as a post-harvest conditioner. A non-volatile aqueous solution of silver and thiosulphate ions. No significant human health concerns identified. No significant environmental concerns highlighted relateddirectly to its use however wastes must not reach the public sewer as there is a risk to terrestrial biodiversity from contaminated sewage sludge. Highly toxic to aquatic life and soil invertebrates.
