Aspon is an obsolete organophosphate insecticide that was used on turf. It has a low aqueous solubility and is highly volatile. Little else is known about its environmental fate and behaviour. There is little published data regarding its ecotoxicity. Aspon is modertately toxic to mammals if ingested. It is an acetyl cholinesterase inhibitor and a neurotoxin.
