Cloxyfonac
Last updated: 22/01/2023
(Also known as: hydroxy-MCPA; HMCPA)
Cloxyfonac is a herbicide usually formulated using the sodium salt. The acid is highly soluble in water and moderatley volatile so there is some risk of drift. No information is available regarding its environmental persistence. It is moderately toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Cloxyfonac has a low mammalian oral toxicity but may be a neurotoxicant. It is also a skin, eye and respiratory irritant.
The following alerts are based on the data in the tables below. An absence of an alert does not imply the substance has no implications for human health, biodiversity or the environment but just that we do not have the data to form a judgement.
