Dinocap (Ref: ENT 24727) |
Last updated: 15/03/2024 |
(Also known as: DPC; DNOPC; crotothane; meptyldinocap; dinocap 4; dinocap 6) |
SUMMARY |
Dinocap is a dinitrophenol fungicide which is not approved for use in the UK nor the EU. It has a low aqueous solubility but soluble in most organic solvents. It is not considered persistent in soil and is non-mobile. Based on its physico-chemical parameters, Dinocap is not expected to leach to groundwater. It is moderately toxic to mammals, earthworms and bees but considered highly toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Limited data is available on its toxicity to humans but some reports suggest it is a possible reproduction/developmental toxin. |
Data alerts |
The following alerts are based on the data in the tables below. An absence of an alert does not imply the substance has no implications for human health, biodiversity or the environment but just that we do not have the data to form a judgement.
