Calculated data available
Several parameters displayed online do not exist in the database because they are calculated (using other properties). These calculated data include:
- Fate indices: This includes the GUS leaching potential index; SCI-GROW groundwater index; Potential for particle bound transport index; and Potential for loss via drain flow.
- Pesticide Hazard Tricolour (PHT) alerts: The hazard alert system displayed at the top of each substance record.
- Regulatory Threshold Levels (RTLs): Based on ecotoxcity endpoints for nine species groups, used to calculate the Total Applied Toxicity (TAT) indicator.
- Highly Hazardous Pesticide (HHPs): Whether a substance is classified as a Type I or Type II HHP, plus the criteria that trigger this.
This data can be purchased either in a stand-alone format or as an addition to the full PPDB (at a 40% discount), so:
