Welcome to website of OSCAR, the public face of EU project number CLIMA.A.2/SER/2011/0025 ‘Optimal design of climate change policies through the EU's rural development policy’. This project was led by AERU at the University of Hertfordshire, and aimed to support the development of more holistic Rural Development Policy (RDP) measures that not only tackle rural issues, but also address climate change objectives (mitigating greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to the effects of climate change). This was done by developing guidance materials for Member States to support the development of RDP measures that optimally address climate change objectives post-2013.
